Prevalence Surveys -- Quantitative Analyses

Obtain a quantitative snapshot of the prevalence of bullying in your organization, and, if present, who are the perpetrators and targets, and what perceptions of its impact are held by employees at any or all levels. We are veteran survey designers and academic research methodology experts. Clients can poll every employee or sample representative smaller groups. Clients choose measures from a battery of items used in surveys the results of which are disseminated nationally. Pre-Policy scores can be compared to post-implementation scores to gauge efficacy of the code of conduct and leadership education. The Survey service includes sampling assistance, survey instruments, statistical analyses, and an interpretive report of the results for each survey administered.

The Workplace Bullying Institute-Zogby International 2007 U.S. Workplace Bullying Survey was the nation's first national poll capturing the experiences of a large sample known to represent the population of adult Americans. The findings are cited in the media as the "gold standard" in determining the prevalence of the phenomenon addressed by The Joint Commission's new leadership standard 03.01.01.

Organizational Climate Assessment -- Qualitative Audit

The Work Doctor team interviews designated individuals or leaders in private sessions to determine the prevalence, manner, history and consequences, of bullying in the Client organization. We gain a sense of the broader context as well as specific illustrations of incidents. Note: this is not psychological assessment, diagnosis or treatment -- it is a review of business processes and their impact on people and the organization.

The qualitative information gathered establishes the context for introducing the anti-bullying initiative. Work Doctor interviewers cull information typically not available to traditional management consultants. Our unmatched expertise in bullying encourages candid participation. In return, we require that everyone be guaranteed freedom from retaliation for disclosing critical information.
